The Most Important Gift of Christmas...

"Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:10-12

Merry Christmas!

A brand new Christmas tradition was born this year in our house that we will hopefully continue for years to come. We set up a scavenger hunt for the kids, and they hunted for one present each to open this evening - their new Christmas jammies! They are now asleep in those jammies dreaming about tomorrow morning, I'm sure...

It's my hope that you make some wonderful memories and perhaps a new tradition or two this year in your home and with your loved ones.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas,

Fun with shutter speeds...

While the girls were all at the ballet last night (I know, it's shocking that I opted not to attend!), I had my son and nephew at home for some fun times with the Wii. I broke out the tripod and asked "Who wants to paint with light?" and both boys looked at me like I was crazy. What followed is captured below. A little light painting followed by some Wii golf!

Introducing Carter

We celebrate Christmas because over 2,000 years ago a special baby boy was born on this earth and the angels celebrated His birth. For some dear friends of mine, this Christmas is extra special because their baby boy was born this past week and they get to celebrate his birth during this wonderful season. And I'm pretty sure some angels are celebrating his birth too... I mean, just look at his heavenly little face! Congratulations to Mom and Dad and we celebrate the birth of Carter with you...

Kids and Christmas

I love the Christmas season and I especially love watching kids around Christmas and the joy in their eyes. I have the awesome job of capturing that joy with the camera and sharing it with the world. Just like these shots below. Kids like these three make my job easy. Thanks kids!

In'Vince'ably cute baby!

Let me introduce you to Baby Vince. Warning: He's adorable. Now that you've been forewarned, you may scroll down to these images. And there's a bunch of them, as I loved way too many of them to decide. I will say though, that the first image posted here is quite possibly one of my favorite photos I've ever taken... Thank you Vince (and Mom and Dad) for taking some time to spend with us.

Speaking of that image, you will see it on the front of my newly updated website (www.curtisleephotography.com), along with a link to our Facebook Page and some new images and print packages. Enjoy!

Fun Families!

These are two wonderful families tied together by a pair of sisters. I'm so thankful to call them all friends, and was more than thrilled to do family portraits for both families. These are a few of my favorites, but I think I'm most partial to the first image of little Jonas. Can you see his beautiful new home reflecting in the catchlights of his eyes?

Thanks again to both families for allowing me to be a part of their holiday season. Merry Christmas!

Boomer!

Allow me to introduce Boomer, our family dog. I took this photo on a whim as he decided to walk into our office at home while I was working one day, and it is now my favorite shot of him. I love this dog and I love his energy, enthusiasm, and how he loves to just be around us all the time.

If you have a four-legged friend that you want in your family photos, I always encourage my clients to bring them along. Enjoy this special Christmas season with entire family, no matter who or what species they are!
